{"id":402303,"date":"2023-11-16T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-11-16T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=402303"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"Yumul-No-such-thing-as-IPI-1M-security-deposit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/Yumul-No-such-thing-as-IPI-1M-security-deposit\/","title":{"rendered":"Yumul: No such thing as IPI $1M security deposit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Howyo Chi, the new manager\/director of Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC, has disclosed that IPI just recently learned that a security deposit of $1 million related to IPI\u2019s casino\/hotel project in Garapan had been given to the Department of Public Works, but DPW denied receiving such a deposit.<\/p>\n<p>In a letter to DPW Secretary Ray N. Yumul dated Nov. 7, 2023, Chi said they would like to confirm the accuracy of this information about the $1-million security deposit.
