{"id":402789,"date":"2023-12-06T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-06T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=402789"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"DOT-to-offer-1-5B-in-RAISE-grants-for-rural-urban-areas-nationwide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/DOT-to-offer-1-5B-in-RAISE-grants-for-rural-urban-areas-nationwide\/","title":{"rendered":"DOT to offer $1.5B in RAISE grants for rural, urban areas nationwide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Department of Transportation will be awarding $1.5 billion in the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity, or RAISE, grants for 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The RAISE program helps project sponsors complete critical freight and passenger transportation infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n<p>The agency will split funding between rural and urban areas.<\/p>\n<p>At least $15 million will be awarded to project located in Areas of Persistent Poverty or Historically Disadvantaged Communities.
