In alignment with its mission and vision, the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. is pleased to announce a significant leap forward in its commitment to providing innovative services with the acquisition of Stryker\u2019s 1688 Advanced Imaging Modalities (AIM) 4K Platform. This addition is set to advance endoscopy services and enhance minimally invasive procedures performed at the CHCC operation rooms.<\/p>\n

The 1688 AIM 4K Platform is a minimally invasive surgical tower that will now provide CHCC surgeons with superior visualization and advanced imaging modalities across an array of specialties.<\/p>\n

The new all-in-one system features:<\/p>\n

4K Image Resolution: Brilliant 4K resolution offers our surgeons crystal-clear images for improved visualization during surgery.<\/p>\n

L-11 Light Source and Auto-light Technology: The proprietary auto-light technology automatically adjusts based on anatomy to provide consistent lighting, enabling our surgeons to focus on the procedure at hand and nothing else.<\/p>\n

Advanced Imaging Modalities: Three distinct SPY fluorescence imaging modalities; Contrast, Overlay and ENV are integrated into the platform and enable real-time 4K fluorescence images of perfusion and critical anatomy. Studies have shown that the use of fluorescence imaging may assist surgeons in making better clinical decisions during colorectal, laparoscopic cholecystectomy and other minimally invasive procedures.<\/p>\n

SPY-PHI: The 1688 AIM 4K Platform also supports SPY-PHI, a portable fluorescence imaging device that enables perfusion assessment in vessels and related tissue perfusion during plastic, microsurgical, reconstructive and gastrointestinal procedures. The ability to visualize blood flow during open surgery may also help our surgeons make critical decisions that can reduce the risk of complications related to poorly perfused tissue.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 1688 AIM 4K Platform significantly enhances CHCC\u2019s endoscopy services, enabling our medical team to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions with greater precision,\u201d said Dr. Brian Citro, general surgeon. \u201cPatients can expect more accurate diagnoses, minimally invasive procedures, and quicker recovery times,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The addition of this equipment to the CHCC facility highlights CHCC\u2019s dedication in providing accessible, high-quality, patient-centered wellness outcomes for all people in the CNMI.<\/p>\n
