The exam tests the knowledge, skills, and abilities of nursing graduates in order to certify that they are capable of applying entry-level nursing practices correctly.

“I would like to congratulate Quina, Alyanna, and Redz on becoming the latest graduates to pass the NCLEX,” said NMC president Dr. Galvin Deleon Guerrero. “We wish the best of luck to them in their future endeavors as healthcare professionals.”

NMC Nursing Department chair Rosa Aldan likewise congratulated the three on their achievements.

“We are extremely proud of these graduates’ accomplishment in passing the NCLEX-RN Exam,” Aldan said. “The Nursing Team and I are excited for them to start their nursing careers and cannot wait to hear more of their future accomplishments.”

Viana, a 2022 NMC nursing graduate, pursued nursing as the profession is “more than just helping people.”

“Caring, connecting, and advocating for them is a rewarding career. At the same time, it offers diverse career opportunities and job stability,” Viana said.

Viana attributed her hurdling the NCLEX to her support system and her instructors. “I couldn’t have done this without the support of my family and friends. I also want to thank my instructors, who have been encouraging and supportive of our success.”

She added, “We have our nursing instructors who guided and supported us since Day 1. They have exceptionally shared their knowledge and experiences and supported our success.”

Viana initially worked as a graduate nurse at CHCC and is now working there as a registered nurse.

Garon, a classmate of Viana, looked to her parents as her motivation to pursue nursing.

“My motivation for pursuing a nursing degree was my parents. They gave up so much for my brothers and I, to be able to live a life that was comfortable and happy, I wanted to make them proud and be able to give back to them in the future,” Garon said.

When preparing for the NCLEX, Garon mentions the help of the college in preparing her for success in the exam. “NMC prepared me extremely well for the exam, the instructors made sure we had all the tools we needed to ace the exam, clinicals were a big help because we were able to put what we learned into practice and that was huge for me because I am a kinesthetic learner and I learn more when things are being put into practice.”

Garon initially worked as a graduate nurse at Saipan Renal Care and is now working there as a registered nurse.

Having graduated this year with a nursing degree, Rivera, pursued the medical field to make an impact on many people.

“As a child, I have always had the heart and desire to be in the medical field. My motivation for pursuing a nursing degree was that I wanted to make my parents and God proud in a career where I could make an impact on many people,” Rivera said.

Rivera mentions the importance of her support system in her passage on the NCLEX, “My church family has always been praying for my success in my career, and my parents who are hard immigrant workers always pushed for me to pursue my dreams. They see the potential in me which pushes me to be the best version of myself that I can be.”

Rivera is planning to continue her nursing education and pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and, eventually, her master’s degree and be a nurse oractitioner in the near future.

For more information about NMC’s nursing program, email Aldan at rosa.aldan@marianas.edu or call (670) 237-6744. (NMC)

Alyanna Garon

Redz Nissi Rivera

Quina Viana

Northern Marianas College nursing graduates Quina Viana, Alyanna Garon, and Redz Nissi Rivera have joined…

[4

post-403145","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news
["GET
