{"id":403691,"date":"2024-01-11T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-01-11T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=403691"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"DOL-WIA-NMTECH-launch-construction-pre-apprenticeship-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/DOL-WIA-NMTECH-launch-construction-pre-apprenticeship-program\/","title":{"rendered":"DOL, WIA, NMTECH launch construction pre-apprenticeship program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The CNMI Department of Labor and the CNMI Workforce Investment Agency, in partnership with the Northern Marianas Technical Institute, will be launching a construction pre-apprenticeship program next week in an effort to boost the construction industry in the CNMI.<\/p>\n<p>The program, which is made possible through a $10.6-million award from the U.S Department of Labor\u2019s Employment and Training Administration, will provide participants with construction industry recognized certifications, stipends, and ultimately a pathway to an official industry apprenticeship.<\/p>\n<p>Classes are set to begin next Tuesday, Jan. 16, so all interested participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
