The calendars are available for free while supplies last.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt UOG, we take pride in crafting practical tools and resources, exemplified by these two calendars. While they serve as handy planners, they go beyond scheduling, offering valuable insights into our diverse fish species and the cherished traditions of family fishing,\u201d said UOG president Anita Borja Enriquez.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdditionally, these calendars provide tips on growing plants and vegetables, fostering an interest in backyard gardening and sustainable food systems. We believe in making learning not just informative but also applicable to real life,\u201d President Enriquez added.<\/p>\n<p>Thhighlights members of the island\u2019s fishing community with their families. This calendar is a collaborative effort involving Guam EPSCOR, UOG Marine Laboratory, and NSF INCLUDES SEAS Islands Alliance Guam.<\/p>\n<p>Each calendar features tide chart data based out of Apra Harbor and was prepared by the UOG Guam Marine Laboratory. Every month features fishermen with their catch of the day, the scientific name and CHamoru name for each catch, along with sustainability tips for the new year.<\/p>\n<p>The 2024 Guam Grower\u2019s Calendar: Fanha\u2019aniyan Manamon Guahan was created in collaboration with Guahan Sustainable Culture. This calendar features a different local fruit or vegetable each month, listing both the English and CHamoru names, characteristics of each crop, and gardening tips for optimal growth. Additionally, the calendar includes tide chart data.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe invite the community to enjoy our newly released 2024 Guam Tide Chart Calendar and the Guam Grower\u2019s Calendar.
