{"id":404409,"date":"2024-01-29T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-01-29T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=404409"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"Proposed-WIOA-Unified-State-Plan-open-for-public-comment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/Proposed-WIOA-Unified-State-Plan-open-for-public-comment\/","title":{"rendered":"Proposed WIOA Unified State Plan open for public comment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is to notify the public and interested parties that the Governor\u2019s State Workforce Development Board is seeking comments on the CNMI\u2019s 2024-2027 Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Unified State Plan.<\/p>\n<p>The public comment period begins on Jan. 19, 2024, at 8am and ends on Feb. 17, 2024, at 5pm.<\/p>\n<p>Every four years, the CNMI submits a comprehensive state plan to the U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. Department of Education. This unified state plan serves as the blueprint of the CNMI\u2019s workforce development efforts for the WIOA core programs. The plan outlines strategic initiatives to assist CNMI residents, including youths and those facing barriers to employment, discover quality jobs opportunities and build lasting careers.
