A man was found lifeless while a woman was found critically injured after emergency personnel responded to an injured person(s) call at a residence along Tun Joaquin Doi Road in Finasisu.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, the Department of Public Safety and Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to a call reporting two injured individuals at a residence in Finasisu. However, when they got there, they were met with a shocking discovery. At the scene, first responders found two unresponsive individuals.<\/p>\n

Saipan Tribune<\/em> learned that the scene was described as \u201cgruesome.\u201d<\/p>\n

DPS has since deemed the incident a homicide and is asking for the community\u2019s help in identifying possible suspects.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe incident is now classified as a homicide. One male victim is deceased. The female victim is in critical condition,\u201d said DPS spokesperson Sgt. Fred Sato.<\/p>\n

The police declined to release any details about who may have called DPS, nor gave additional details as to what prompted them to now consider this a homicide case.<\/p>\n

According to a DPS news release, DPS dispatch received at around 10:46am yesterday, Jan. 4, an injured person(s) report at the former Ladera Building along Tun Joaquin Doi Road in Finasisu, which used to house a school.<\/p>\n

Officers arrived at the Ladera Building at approximately 11:02am and discovered an unresponsive Asian male, around 30 to 40 years old, and an unresponsive female that was also around 30 to 40 years old.<\/p>\n

DPS notes that initial observation indicates both individuals had extensive injuries.<\/p>\n

The two were immediately rushed to the Commonwealth Health Center where the male was pronounced dead, having succumbed to his injuries.<\/p>\n

Saipan Tribune<\/em> learned as of press time that the female victim is alive but remains in critical condition.<\/p>\n

DPS says the case remains an ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n

Saipan Tribune<\/em> visited the scene and police tape had blocked off the entrance to the road leading to the victims\u2019 residence.<\/p>\n

DPS is also asking the community to provide any information they may have regarding the incident that could possibly lead to an arrest.<\/p>\n
