{"id":404736,"date":"2024-01-25T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-01-25T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=404736"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"First-responders-find-missing-windsurfer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/First-responders-find-missing-windsurfer\/","title":{"rendered":"First responders find missing windsurfer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First responders successfully located last Tuesday a windsurfer who had been reported missing at Micro Beach.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Public Safety\u2019s Boating Safety Unit, Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services, and the U.S Coast Guard sprang into action and launched the search for the windsurfer who was reported missing off the coast of Micro Beach near the Hyatt Regency Saipan. Fortunately, the man was found alive after a few hours of search.<\/p>\n<p>According to bystanders, the man, believed to be a guest at the Hyatt, was seen windsurfing but they soon lost sight of him after few moments.<\/p>\n<p>According to DFEMS spokesperson Rob Mojica, the man was found at around 7pm.<\/p>\n<p>DPS has yet to issue a statement on the matter.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 480px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/imgupload\/93e5fe13a82d66320d209c2402b17a0f.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><\/p>\n<p>Local first responders launched a search for a reported missing windsurfer at Micro Beach last Tuesday.
