Terlaje also disclosed yesterday that one applicant is qualified for the position, but they\u2019re waiting for his background check.<\/p>\n<p>Terlaje said once they get the background check, the CUC board will schedule an interview.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe background check is what we\u2019re waiting for. That\u2019s ongoing right now,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Terlaje said 22 applied and the one who is qualified is from the mainland.<\/p>\n<p>CUC has been searching for an executive director since Gary P. Camacho resigned in February 2023.
