They should’ve added more insurance runs as Tuturamz had the last at-bat, but Tuturamz pitcher John Cepeda shut them down before they could do anymore damage.

Tuturamz actually had the lead in the sixth, 8-7, until Wazzup’s Joe Lizama, Chris George, and Derek Aguon scored the three runs in the seventh.

Sufa 8, Peliliu 7

In another close game, Sufa slipped past Peliliu, 8-7.

Sufa was down, 5-7 entering the bottom of the last inning, but Paul Salalila, Audie Maratita, and Mario Aguon scored the three needed runs to win over Peliliu.

Peliliu wasted their six-run fourth inning in which Shine Tenorio hit a three-run homer. Sufa didn’t hit any home runs but scavenged for runs as best they could with lucky hits and some defensive errors.

Asahi 13, Tokahao 11

Tokahao almost had it but Asahi knocked them out, 13-11.

It was a Sunday full of rallies as Asahi came back to win with an abundance of runs in the last two innings. Tokahao led, 11-5 in the fifth, but that was all they wrote as Asahi’s pitcher, Dom Hideo, put in the work in the last couple of innings to hold them down.

Asahi’s bats came to life as well as they scored three in the sixth and five in the seventh, with a three-run jack by John Taitano.

Man Amigos 20, Hagu La’mun 10

The Man Amigos doubled Hagu La’muns score and won, 20-10.

Man Amigos’ stacked lineup produced six home runs—two of which were made by Joey Dela Cruz and Bill Camacho.

Hagu La’mun’s seven runs came in the first inning, with the rest of the game making little contact with the pitches by Jerry Guerrero. Hagu La’mun went on to score just three more runs while the Man Amigos piled it up.

Team Redmen 14, Saipal 0

The Redmen silenced Saipal, 14-0, thanks to great pitching.

Redmen pitcher Greg Magofna induced three straight outs in all innings except one for a quick and easy job. When Saipal couldn’t put even one run on the board, the game ended early in the fifth from a run-mercy ruling.

The Redmen scored three in the first, seven in the second, and two each in the third and fourth inning.

In this file photo, Tuturamz’ Hank Reyes tosses the ball during their game in the 2024 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association men’s division at the Dandan Softball Field.

-LEIGH GASES

[5

post-404955","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-sports
["GET
