That would make him the third person to join the delegate race.<\/p>\n<p>Gonzales\u2019 team issued a press release yesterday, stating he would be officially announcing on March 17 his candidacy in the upcoming election for the CNMI\u2019s next U.S delegate.<\/p>\n<p>Others who have already announced their candidacies for the same post are Rep. Edwin K. Propst (D-Saipan) and former Commonwealth Ports Authority chair Kimberlyn King-Hinds.<\/p>\n<p>The news release stated that Gonzales, whose passion is fighting for the rights of NMDs, \u201cwill be sharing his lifelong passion and record of public service, community advocacy and leadership in nonprofit organizations in the CNMI\u201d during his announcement on March 17, which will be streamed live on radio, Facebook, and other media platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Gonzales was a grant writer for over two decades in the CNMI executive and legislative branches and with U.S. federal departments and U.S. Congress as former chief of staff of two prior gubernatorial administrations.<\/p>\n<p>Gonzales will also share his achievements, his vision, and plans for the CNMI should he be elected delegate this November.<\/p>\n<p>He says he wants to build on the work of the CNMI\u2019s current delegate to work on pressing issues unique to the CNMI.<\/p>\n<p>The CNMI\u2019s incumbent delegate is Gregorio Kilili C. Sablan (D-MP).
