Students who are interested in pursuing a career in nursing can apply to become part of the Northern Marianas College Nursing Department\u2019s newest cohort in the fall 2024 semester.<\/p>\n

Those who meet the program\u2019s requirements can submit their application beginning Monday, April 22, to Wednesday, May 22, 2024.<\/p>\n

The selection of students will be based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n

1. A cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher;<\/p>\n

2. Completion of all core course prerequisites (except SO 297) and general education prerequisites with a grade of \u201cC\u201d or higher;<\/p>\n

3. The ability to understand, speak and write in English;<\/p>\n

4. A passing score in the program\u2019s admission test. More information about the program\u2019s admission test can be found on the NMC website\u2019s nursing page.<\/p>\n

The admission test for the fall 2024 admission will be administered to eligible applicants on June 27-28, 2024. Pre-nursing students completing their prerequisites by the end of the summer 2024 session must plan to take the admission test in June of the following year.<\/p>\n

The number of students selected will also depend on the number of faculty available to teach the nursing courses. For the fall 2024 admission cohort, the class size is limited to 25 students. If there is not enough space for all applicants, a waitlist will be established.<\/p>\n

Students are advised to make an appointment with their nursing advisor via email as soon as possible to discuss prerequisites and transcripts to determine their current standing and progress toward meeting eligibility requirements.<\/p>\n

Selection of students for the fall 2024 cohort will be completed before the beginning of the fall 2024 semester in August.<\/p>\n

A notification letter will be sent to each applicant using the address designated on the application. Application forms may be downloaded from www.marianas.edu\/nursing<\/a>.<\/p>\n
