{"id":408209,"date":"2024-04-12T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-12T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=408209"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"CPA-Air-Force-to-host-community-day-this-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/CPA-Air-Force-to-host-community-day-this-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"CPA, Air Force to host community day this weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Before bidding the CNMI adieu, the U.S. Air Force servicemen who have been on Saipan for the past week pursuant to the annual Agile Reaper exercise will be hosting a community day this Saturday in collaboration with the Commonwealth Ports Authority.<\/p>\n<p>The upcoming community day, set for Saturday, April 13, will give members of the community a chance to ask servicemen questions about the recent exercises, the capabilities of the jets used during the exercise, and to take a look inside.<\/p>\n<p>According to a press release from CPA, the community day event will be from 10am to 4pm with the entrance gates closing by 3:30pm.<\/p>\n<p>Entrance will be at the gate located south of the Departure Terminal.<\/p>\n<p>Parking will be available in the main parking lot or on the grassy areas across from the entrance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease provide a valid Photo ID to sign in before entering. Parents and guardians would be able to vouch and remain responsible for their children upon entering. We advise the public to bring your own umbrella, and that there are no restrooms available during this event. Upon entering, please remain within the coned designated areas and kindly cooperate with the staff and military personnels during this event,\u201d said CPA.<\/p>\n<p>The open house will allow visitors of all ages to see the U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III, and a possibility of a F-22 Raptor and C-130 at the Francisco C. Ada\/Saipan International Airport.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the event allows community members to meet some of the amazing people behind the operations and success of the current Agile Reaper 24-1 Exercise.<\/p>\n<p>The Agile Reaper 24-1 Exercise is a U.S. Air Force Agile Combat Employment exercise that works to stress the force\u2019s capability to rapidly generate air power and mobility across the Pacific.<\/p>\n<p>Agile Reaper gives the 15th AEW the opportunity to exercise and execute the Air Force Generation model through rapid mobility, command, control, and distributed operations in a Contested Degraded Operations Environment.<\/p>\n<p>This effort allows Airmen to realistically train and operate in a more dispersed and decentralized manner.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 480px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/imgupload\/4912491db982b0a61736b53665859847.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><\/p>\n<p>A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III that\u2019s part of the Agile Reaper 24-1 Exercise sits at the Francisco C.
