{"id":408889,"date":"2024-05-17T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-05-17T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=408889"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"2024-Marianas-Classic-on-May-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/2024-Marianas-Classic-on-May-25\/","title":{"rendered":"2024 Marianas Classic on May 25"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Get your golf clubs and tees ready for the 2024 Visa Marianas Classic Golf Tournament set for Saturday, May 25, at the LaoLao Bay Golf &amp; Resort.<\/p>\n<p>The golf tournament is in its 4th year and is jointly hosted by Bank of Guam, IP&amp;E, IT&amp;E, and Citadel Pacific Ltd.<\/p>\n<p>Show time is at 12pm and tee time is at 1pm. Registration is ongoing for $140 which includes a ditty bag and banquet dinner immediately following, with players limited to the first 100. The game format is double peoria.<\/p>\n<p>Winners will receive cash prizes, while a United Airlines round trip ticket and other great prizes will be raffled off at the banquet.<\/p>\n<p>Bank of Guam senior vice president Lesley Leon Guerrero said in an email to Saipan Tribune, &#8220;Our companies are excited to once again join forces for the 4th Annual Visa Marianas Classic. This purpose-driven event allows us the opportunity to show our support for Make-a-Wish (Guam and CNMI) and also have a really fun time out on the course. We invite everyone to join us so we can continue to help more wishes come true for our local wish kids.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>To register, call (670)-287-4267, email info@marianasclassic.com, or sign up and pay at the IT&amp;E cashier in San Jose.<\/p>\n<p>In the 2022 tournament, Zhi Yun Li won the low gross score category with a 4-under 68. Flor Jones topped the women\u2019s low gross with her 86 score.<\/p>\n<p>In the men\u2019s double peoria, Joseph Mu\u00f1a won the category with a net score of 69.4. Shirley Sablan took the top prize in the women\u2019s double peoria with her net score of 80.<\/p>\n<p>Charles Peters had the lowest gross among employees of Bank of Guam, IT&amp;E, and IP&amp;E.
