{"id":409028,"date":"2024-05-29T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-05-29T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=409028"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"HSEM-to-conduct-mobile-siren-testing-starting-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/HSEM-to-conduct-mobile-siren-testing-starting-today\/","title":{"rendered":"HSEM to conduct mobile siren testing starting today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The CNMI Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will be conducting tests of their mobile all-hazard siren system starting from today, May 29, to May 30.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure that its mobile siren system is operational and effective in alerting the public during emergencies, HSEM will be conducting a mobile all-hazard siren test for the next two day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis mobile all-hazard siren is a critical component of the CNMI Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management\u2019s emergency preparedness and response strategy, designed to alert residents of a range of potential threats including tsunami warnings, severe weather warnings, wildfire warnings, and air raids warnings,\u201d said HSEM.<\/p>\n<p>The test will occur between 9:30am and 2pm and involve the activation of the siren at Pau Pau Beach and Garapan Fishing Base.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, the mobile sirens will be activated from 9:30am to 11:30am at Pau Pau Beach and 1pm to 2pm at the Garapan Fishing Base to ensure comprehensive coverage and system functionality.<\/p>\n<p>HSEM cautions that the siren will emit a loud, audible tone designed to alert residents.
