Join Northern Marianas Athletics in celebrating 2024 World Athletics Kids\u2019 Athletics Day tomorrow, May 7, 5pm at the Oleai Sports Complex track and field and also join the #WorldMileChallenge from May 1-19.<\/p>\n

The events for Kids\u2019 Athletics Day are kids\u2019 athletics, relays, and a 4-minute race clock challenge to see how far you can run in four minutes.<\/p>\n

World Athletics, according to NMA, is launching the challenge ahead of this year\u2019s Kids\u2019 Athletics Day, which is an annual celebration of children and young people being active and participating in athletics.<\/p>\n

There is no minimum age limit to join the challenge, however, all entrants 10 years and under must be accompanied by a registered parent\/guardian for the entire duration of the race, and the accompanying adult takes full responsibility for the safety of the entrant.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn honor of the 70th anniversary of Roger Bannister breaking the four-minute mile on May 6, 1954, this year\u2019s focus is on running, jogging or walking a mile. We are aiming to \u2018Run the World\u2019 one mile at a time,\u201d said NMA on their registration website at https:\/\/raceroster.com\/events\/2024\/88976\/world-mile-challenge-2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Use the hashtags #WorldMileChallenge and #KidsAthleticsDay and tag @nmiathletics and https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/WorldAthletics to share your initiatives\/events by posting pictures\/videos<\/a>.<\/p>\n
