{"id":40932,"date":"2014-07-08T04:00:48","date_gmt":"2014-07-07T18:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=40932"},"modified":"2014-07-08T04:00:48","modified_gmt":"2014-07-07T18:00:48","slug":"dispute-libday-queen-counting-still-unresolved","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/dispute-libday-queen-counting-still-unresolved\/","title":{"rendered":"Dispute in LibDay Queen counting still unresolved"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Disputes in the results of the counting for the Liberation Day Queen is still unresolved after the Liberation Committee held a nearly three-hour meeting at the Saipan Mayor\u2019s Office conference room yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Ronnie B. Doca, father of 2014 Liberation Day First Princess Rita Doca, said the meeting between the parents, representatives of the mayor\u2019s office, and members of the Liberation Committee did not resolve questions about the results of the counting.<\/p>\n<p>According to Doca, the Liberation Committee will be calling him today, July 8, and other parents for another meeting to try and resolve the issue.<\/p>\n<p>Doca told Saipan Tribune that the parents of 2014 Liberation Day Second Princess Gilitinon Ramangmou did not show up for the meeting. It was earlier reported that the father of Ramangmou, Frank Ramangmou, had also expressed concerns over the counting process with the Liberation Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Doca did note that his request for documents and tally sheets was granted.<\/p>\n<p>He said he would not leave the issue behind. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSomething went wrong with the process of counting and the acceptance of the money,\u201d Doca said. \u201cI am going to continue and I am going to bring out what is not right and I want fairness because it might happen next year again and continue if nothing is done.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>According to Saipan Mayor\u2019s Office special adviser Henry Hofschneider, the meeting went great with some of the candidates and parents attending. He confirmed that Mayor Marian Tudela was present at the meeting.
