Sandlot are once again above .500 for a 3-2 record after they took down the Bears, 8-2, in the 2024 Tan Holdings-SBL last Monday at the Francisco \u201cTan Ko\u201d Palacios Baseball Field.<\/p>\n

Sandlot pitcher Mike Iguel held down the Bears\u2019 offense from the get go and allowed just one run in the first inning to Henry Lizama Jr.<\/p>\n

Despite no runs by Sandlot in the first two innings, they bounced back in the third and scored three\u2014Tyrone Omar, Diego Camacho, and Lamarc Iguel from the top of their lineup. Bears pitcher Dennis Cabrera labored through and finally got the three outs to stop their onslaught.<\/p>\n

However, Sandlots\u2019 pitching and defense remained steadfast as they silenced the Bears in four straight innings for still a 3-1 lead. Then, Sandlots\u2019 Irvin Saralu scored in the fourth to put them up by three runs, 4-1.<\/p>\n

The Bears had a reprieve in the fifth when Sandlot took a break from scoring, but it was short lived because Sandlot scored more in the sixth.<\/p>\n

Four runs would score and as they ballooned their lead, 8-1. The Bears had the final say in the and tried for a comeback.<\/p>\n

It went well for a short time as a leadoff double was made by Bears\u2019 Kaipo Dikito. Then, Verlance Secharmidal eventually scored to make it a 2-8 game. But the bottom order of the lineup couldn\u2019t get past Sandlot pitching as only one other batter got on base from a walk, while the last two outs were registered via ground outs.<\/p>\n

Last Tuesday, the Falcons\u2019 record remained untarnished with four wins as they slipped past the D-9er\u2019s, 4-3. Last Wednesday\u2019s game between the White Sox and Blue Shark was moved to Friday.<\/p>\n
