Velasquez has been appointed as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Community First.<\/p>\n<p>Velasquez joined Community First from Los Angeles in April 2024 as a temporary consultant for the Accounting Department. Velasquez brings over 20 years of accounting, consultation, and auditing experience in the credit union industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m incredibly humbled by this announcement; touched and honored to be your next SVP-CFO at Community First Guam FCU, which comes with huge responsibilities, but I don\u2019t shy away from the challenge,\u201d said Velasquez.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNone of this would be possible without the support of a dynamic CEO, Mr. [Gerard] Cruz, the entire management team, board of directors, supervisory committee, and the entire staff that I\u2019m fortunate to be surrounded by.
