Blue Jays ace Kevin Kapileo then wrapped the game up in the last inning with three straight Blue Sharks retired.

The pitching staff was backed up by the Blue Jays’ offense which exploded in the third inning.

Jun Salalila got things going after he got on base and scored after a fielding error during his nephew, James Salalila’s at-bat. James also scored on a breakdown of Blue Shark defense to make it 2-0.

The first out was registered but two more consecutive runs would be scored by Terrel Rabago and Frankie Lieto for a 4-0 game. Shane Mallens then scored the fifth run before the third out was made.

Blue Sharks’ offense was left dead in the water at this point, as they’ve only recorded three hits against the youngster Palacios.

They attempted to get something going after Jason Reached third base, a base on ball to Ian Iriarte, and a single by Ignacio Palacios, but the Blue Jays’ lefty managed to induce the third out from a fielder’s choice to hold off the runner from scoring.

The Blue Jays went on to score three in the fourth to break the game wide open, 8-0.
