Pangelinan, however, took the checkered flag after winning the second heat. Sheanna Pangelinan came in third with 40 points.

“The course during the first heat was really muddy and slippery. It rained all morning and once the races begun, the track had lots of puddles and mud everywhere! Before the second heat, the track was tacky and the turns were perfect. In my opinion that was the best the track has been and it was just so much fun!” said Billie, who earlier in the season won the February and March editions of the Marianas Racing Association competition.

The youthful Pangelinan said the transition from Power Puff Girls Class to the Women’s Class has had its challenges and that was pretty evident in losing to Alvarez in Heat 1 last Sunday.

“My main goal was trying to stay up because if I fall, the bike gets heavier when it’s all muddy and since I am on a bigger bike, I unfortunately can’t reach the ground, but with that being said, I fell twice on the first heat.”

She then dedicated her win to her parents and brothers for their continuous support and hard work in supporting her motocross hobby. Pangelinan also extended her kudos to her many sponsors, namely IT&E, Inas Kitchen, YCO True Value, 670 Rocksteady, TurnKey Solutions, Ericco Racing Team, Rep. Joseph Flores (Ind-Saipan) for the tent donation, and her coach Ellery Cruz.

In the Power Puff Girls Class, Pangelinan’s former rival, Miyako Celis, took the plum with a perfect ride for 50 points.

Kesiil Camacho was second with 42 points, while Hiromi Sasamoto as third with 22 points.

Results of the other classes will be published in the next issue of Saipan Tribune.

Billie Inabo Pangelinan leads the Women’s Class in last Sunday’s 2024 “MOTO IV” Points Race Series at the Cowtown Race Park in Marpi.

-MIA GUERRERO

Billie Inabo Pangelinan now has two back-to-back wins in the Women’s Class after following up…

[5

post-411706","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-sports
["GET
