{"id":412020,"date":"2024-08-29T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-08-29T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=412020"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"1st-CNMI-Labor-Day-softball-tourney-starts-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/1st-CNMI-Labor-Day-softball-tourney-starts-today\/","title":{"rendered":"1st CNMI Labor Day softball tourney starts today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Inaugural CNMI Labor Day Softball Tournament 2024 kicks off today, Aug. 29, at the Francisco \u201cTan Ko\u201d Palacios Baseball Field.<\/p>\n<p>At 5:30pm today, there will be a coaches meeting, then an opening ceremony at 6pm, with the first game of the tourney to follow.<\/p>\n<p>The men\u2019s games at the Francisco \u201cTan Ko\u201d Palacios Baseball Field are set for tomorrow, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Sep. 1, with the championship rounds, a closing ceremony, and a banquet with live music after.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the women\u2019s games will be on Saturday and Sunday at the Miguel \u201cTan Ge\u201d Pangelinan Softball Field adjacent behind the Tan Ko field.<\/p>\n<p>The 10 men\u2019s teams include 4KUNI, Bat-titude, Blue Jays, Team Luta (Rota), Parre\u2019 Pack, Pound Town, Skoba, Sons of San Jose (Tinian), Mamaww, and Titang.<\/p>\n<p>The four women\u2019s teams are BDE, Boujee-Rebels, Lady Sufa, and Sliding Dirty.<\/p>\n<p>Tony Salas, committee member of the tourney, invites the public to watch and cheer on the teams. \u201cHafa Adai &amp; Tirow CNMI, please join us as we celebrate our 1st CNMI Labor Day Softball Tournament held in Saipan.
