{"id":412042,"date":"2024-08-16T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-08-16T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=412042"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"Temporary-road-closure-for-Texas-Road-on-Aug-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/Temporary-road-closure-for-Texas-Road-on-Aug-16\/","title":{"rendered":"Temporary road closure for Texas Road on Aug. 16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to inform the general public that there will be a temporary road closure along Texas Road in Chalan Kanoa on Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, from 9am to 4:30pm.<\/p>\n<p>The road closure is necessary to allow CUC Wastewater Operators to install a 2-inch water pump bypass due to a collapsed 10-inch asbestos sewer line located on Texas Road in Chalan Kanoa.<\/p>\n<p>Customers connected to CUC\u2019s Chalan Kanoa sewer lines will not be affected, as Wastewater personnel will be on-site to pump out sewage during this period.<\/p>\n<p>About the sewer bypass<\/p>\n<p>A sewer bypass temporarily redirects wastewater flow away from a section of the sewer system. This prevents backups, maintains services, reduces environmental impact, and facilitates repairs. Sewer bypass systems are essential for maintaining the integrity and functionality of wastewater management systems.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the temporary road closure, motorists are advised to reduce speed and exercise caution while driving in the area or take alternative routes. CUC personnel will be providing detailed directions for accessing residential properties along the affected area.<\/p>\n<p>CUC apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and will continue to work diligently to provide reliable services for our customers.
