The most valuable players of the Destroyers Basketball Club Invitational Basketball League 2024 were announced during the championship awards ceremony held last Sunday night at the Gillette Multi-Purpose Gymnasium.<\/p>\n

The finals MVP was championship team Savemore\u2019s Getsen Jandoc for his team-high 21 points and leadership on the court, while third place GMP x Yuman\u2019s Justine Enano was the regular season MVP for his pinpoint accuracy and consistency.<\/p>\n

The \u201cMythical 5\u201d awards were also given.<\/p>\n

Enano took home the Best Forward award along with Savemore\u2019s Daryll Foronda; the Best Guards were Frank Ferrer and Jhay-R Gatbonton; and the Best Center award was given to Emman Bondad.<\/p>\n

The Best Coach award went to Savemore\u2019s Joel Saplan.<\/p>\n

The Sportsmanship award was bestowed to Star Water.<\/p>\n

Fourth place was Islander Rent A Car; third place was GMP x Yuman; the runner-up was Jacob\u2019s Bakeshop; and the champion was Savemore.<\/p>\n

For 49-year-old Jandoc, he said of his award, \u201cI feel good. My shots were always going in.\u201d He added that the strategy in the finals was \u201cto just keep fighting until the end.\u201d As for their finals opponent Jacob\u2019s Bakeshop, he said, \u201cI thought they weren\u2019t that tough, but actually they were very tough because most of the players are young and new.\u201d<\/p>\n

The league, he said, \u201cis the best league I\u2019ve been in on Saipan.\u201d<\/p>\n

For 25-year-old Enano\u2019s part, he said, \u201cI\u2019m very happy and thankful that I was part of the Mythical 5. For the season MVP award, I was shocked and also overwhelmed because as a basketball player, that\u2019s a big award and that\u2019s also my first ever MVP season here.<\/p>\n

The season, he said, \u201cwas fun and full of excitement. As a team, we practiced and prepared for every game this season.\u201d As for the league, he said, \u201cEverything was organized and all the teams that joined were really good.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then thanked God, his wife for her support in his games, his family, his coach, and his teammates, and their team\u2019s sponsor, Mario Yumul. He said his awards were not just for him, but his team as well.<\/p>\n

The construction worker at Golden Corp. is now playing in the semi-open league of the Win Pacific Corp. Invitational Basketball League 2024 at the Gualo Rai Basketball Court in the Del Monte-One Pacific team.<\/p>\n
