The festival will be a unique opportunity for people from diverse backgrounds to connect, celebrate their heritage, and<\/p>\n<p>Engage in hands-on workshops and traditional activities, including:<\/p>\n<p>Weaving<\/p>\n<p>Traditional Chamorro carving<\/p>\n<p>Lighat\u00fatt\u00far<\/p>\n<p>Mwaar<\/p>\n<p>Sling throwing acho\u2019 atupat<\/p>\n<p>Traditional Chamorro dance, song, and chant<\/p>\n<p>CHamoru sign kanguage<\/p>\n<p>Pottery making<\/p>\n<p>Historical exhibits<\/p>\n<p>Exploration of Latte stones presentation<\/p>\n<p>Day 2 Festival (free entry; $5 parking fee) \u2014 August 24, 2024:<\/p>\n<p>Blue Lake Park, Fairview, OR, 10am-7pm<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy a day filled with live performances, cultural displays, and community resources, featuring:<\/p>\n<p>Chamorro Dancing Performances by Guma Imahe\u2019, Guma Kutturan Marianas, Guma Bailadora, and Guma Imahen Taotao T\u1ea3no<\/p>\n<p>Live Music by Pacific Cool, Par 3, PNW Island Jammerz, Tonya Jae, Chad Rivera, Island Reminyse Band, Tokah, Imani &amp; RaKhan<\/p>\n<p>Marianas Auto Show<\/p>\n<p>Over 50 vendors offering traditional crafts, foods, and more<\/p>\n<p>Partnerships with various organizations to provide free resources, including health services, financial literacy, and more<\/p>\n<p>The Marianas Festival is committed to celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Marianas Islands while promoting unity, inclusion, and belonging.
