The Northern Marianas Housing Corp.\u2019s board of directors announced the appointment of Zenie P. Mafnas to serve as the NMHC corporate director.<\/p>\n

For the past 17 years, Mafnas has worked in various positions at NMHC. Prior to this appointment, she has served as NMHC\u2019s deputy corporate director. She holds a master\u2019s degree in business from the Chaminade University of Honolulu. She will be the second woman to lead the agency since its inception.<\/p>\n

Mafnas expresses her sincere gratitude to NMHC\u2019s board of directors for their confidence in her and she looks forward to working with all NMHC\u2019s stakeholders, most especially families under NMHC\u2019s programs.<\/p>\n

The missions of NMHC are the following:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Providing efficient and responsive delivery of housing, mortgage and community development programs to the people of the Commonwealth;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Affording fair and equal opportunity to housing programs and services for all, with special emphasis to very-low, low and moderate income individuals, elderly and persons with diasbilities;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Increasing and implementing home ownership programs with houses that is safe, decent, sanitary, and affordable; Encouraging and promoting economic independence, self-sufficiency and upward mobility for families; and Implementing programs to address the growing and future needs and economic viability of the communities in the Commonwealth.<\/p>\n

The NMHC is comprised of various divisions that administers different programs. Listed below are the divisions and the programs they administer.<\/p>\n

Mortgage Credit Division:<\/p>\n

\u2022 HOME Investment Partnerships Program<\/p>\n

\u2022 USDA Rural Development Loan Program<\/p>\n

\u2022 Veteran Affairs Loan Program<\/p>\n

Program and Housing Division:<\/p>\n

Section 8 New Construction Program (Scattered housing division owned by NMHC)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Saipan: Mihaville & Koblerville Estates<\/p>\n

\u2022 Tinian: Broadway<\/p>\n

\u2022 Rota: Blue Bay Homes (formerly known as “As Liyo”)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers<\/p>\n

Planning Division:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Hearth-Emergency Solutions Grant (HESG)<\/p>\n

Fiscal Division:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Manages the financial affairs of the agency.<\/p>\n

Asset Management Division:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Manages the agency’s property and building maintenance, ensures safety compliance, and ensures accountability of NMHC’s assets.<\/p>\n

Administrative Division:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Provides administrative support to all divisions.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Manages the Procurement of all services and purchases for the agency.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Manages the Personnel services of the agency. (PR)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
