Over five decades, the pageant has produced some of the biggest stars in Asian entertainment. This year\u2019s contestant activities included a trip to destinations including the Marianas, Singapore, Baguio, and Inner Mongolia.<\/p>\n<p>The Marianas was chosen as part of pre-pageant activities for three contestants, Kerry Lo, Qin Jin Wen and Tracy Chung. Miss HK alums Mayanne Mak and Crystal Fung joined the ladies as they explored beautiful skies, lush sceneries and crystal-clear waters of the Marianas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited for this weekend\u2019s Miss Hong Kong Pageant final night, as this year\u2019s journey has provided an opportunity for pageant followers to also see some of the best parts of the Marianas through the eyes of the contestants who visited us,\u201d said Marianas Visitors Authority managing director Christopher A. Concepcion. \u201cFrom our stunning ocean, to our deep culture, to delicious food favorites, and more, it was a diverse itinerary that demonstrated the true wealth of our islands. Good luck to all the contestants this weekend!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The MVA provided marketing support for this collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>Their visit included a tour of scenic and historic sites in Marpi, Seatouch marine animal encounter with stingrays, and sampling of pastries at Ohas Boulangerie and Caf\u00e9 and Shirley\u2019s Coffee Shop fried rice.<\/p>\n<p>The ladies also spent time with cultural leaders Frances Sablan and Kiki Marciano to experience the indigenous culture of the Chamorro and Carolinian people of the Marianas, mingling with locals and learning dances, crafts, and cooking. The group also sailed the lagoon in Waa Heragh, a modern replica of an ancient canoe design.<\/p>\n<p>The visit also featured a discovery adventure flying over the island and a dive at award-winning Grotto.
