Superior Court Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho found probable cause yesterday to warrant the filing of charges against Roland Hernandez Mu\u00f1a in connection with the burglary at Pretty Tour Car Rental in Garapan.<\/p>\n
At a preliminary hearing, Camacho found probable cause to charge Mu\u00f1a with a count of burglary, a count of theft, and a count of resisting arrest.<\/p>\n
The judge, however, did not find probable cause on one count of burglary and dismissed that charge. That offense refers to Mu\u00f1a allegedly getting into a stolen FJ Cruiser.<\/p>\n
In the other burglary charge in which the judge found probable cause, the Office of the Attorney General accused Mu\u00f1a of breaking into Pretty Tour Car Rental on June 30, 2014.<\/p>\n
The OAG also alleged that Mu\u00f1a resisted arrest when pushed his hands away several times when two police officers attempted to handcuff him on him on July 5, 2014.<\/p>\n
Police detective Catherine B. Pangelinan took the witness stand yesterday.<\/p>\n
Assistant attorney general James McAllister appeared for the government. Assistant public defender Eden Schwartz served as counsel for Mu\u00f1a.<\/p>\n
Mu\u00f1a remains in jail after failing to post a $50,000 cash bail.<\/p>\n
Pangelinan disclosed in her report that John Deleon Guerrero was arrested on July 1 and admitted that he was with Mu\u00f1a when the latter burglarized Pretty Tour Car Rental office in the evening of June 30, 2014.<\/p>\n
Pangelinan said surveillance cameras at two nearby establishments corroborated Deleon Guerrero\u2019s statements.<\/p>\n
Pangelinan said that on July 1 at 7:54am, two police officers were dispatched to Pretty Tour Car Rental, where a burglary and theft incident was reported. Stolen were a cell phone and several keys to several cars and keys to an apartment on the second floor of Pretty Tour Car Rental building.
