{"id":415378,"date":"2024-10-11T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-10-11T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=415378"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"Koreans-say-Marianas-is-Top-10-most-satisfying-destination","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/Koreans-say-Marianas-is-Top-10-most-satisfying-destination\/","title":{"rendered":"Koreans say Marianas is Top 10 most satisfying destination"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A recent consumer report in South Korea ranks the Marianas among the Top 10 most satisfying destinations worldwide among both domestic and overseas travelers.<\/p>\n<p>Consumer Insight, a public opinion research agency providing insights about the behavior of Korean consumers, recently announced its \u201c2024 Overall Satisfaction with Domestic and Overseas Travel Destinations\u201d based on a survey of over 12,000 people who have traveled overseas within the last year. Saipan ranked No. 9 following Switzerland, Austria, Hawaii, Spain, Czechoslovakia, Australia, Italy, and New Zealand and higher than Japan. \u201cIt\u2019s great news that Korean visitors to the Marianas\u2014who make up over 75% of all our visitors\u2014are overwhelmingly satisfied with their visit,\u201d said Marianas Visitors Authority Marketing specialist Skye Han. \u201cThese survey results highlight what we\u2019re doing right as a destination\u2014aggressive marketing, protecting and promoting our pristine nature environment of both land and sea, and sharing our warm island hospitality and culture.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Marianas\u2014represented by the capital island of Saipan in the survey\u2014scored 758 in overall satisfaction score, which is 52 points higher compared to 2023. Last year, Saipan\u2019s overall ranking in the world was No. 24, and this year\u2019s jump to No. 9 marks the highest year-on-year increase among all listed destinations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is important now is to remain focused on improvements that are within our local control,\u201d said MVA managing director Christopher A. Concepcion. \u201cProtecting and ensuring the safety of our visitors, addressing blighted buildings, enhancing our islands, and ensuring our visitors have an informed and safe visit with trained tour guides.
