Hosted at the iconic Garapan Central Park Roundhouse, this event promises an action-packed evening showcasing the best of kickboxing, combat grappling, and mixed martial arts.<\/p>\n<p>Trench Tech Purebred Purebred Promotions is currently seeking talent, specifically looking for two fighters in the 105-110-lbs weight class for thrilling kickboxing bouts, which will highlight speed and technique.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, they\u2019re inviting two fighters for combat grappling, a unique discipline that allows grappling with open-palm strikes, creating a dynamic challenge for athletes eager to test their versatility.<\/p>\n<p>MMA fighters are also encouraged to join the card, offering a chance to showcase their skills in a format that blends striking and grappling.<\/p>\n<p>Trench Tech Purebred Promotions owner Justis \u201cCuki\u201d Alvarez explains, \u201cWe promote friendship through fighting.\u201d Fans can expect a night filled with adrenaline, skill, and the spirit of sportsmanship as fighters take to the cage to demonstrate their hard work and dedication.<\/p>\n<p>In a recent interview, Alvarez shared his inspiration behind creating the \u201cCage of Fire\u201d event. \u201cOriginally, Trench Tech started its MMA promotional events for the first time in 2005 and had our very first actual cage fight in December of that year, called \u2018Trench-Warz Fight Night\u2019\u201d he recounted.<\/p>\n<p>This inaugural event followed a disappointing experience at the Tinian Fiesta, where a team of inexperienced local fighters faced seasoned opponents from Guam. He detailed the evolution of his fight promotions, explaining how the original events\u2014Trench Warz, Rites of Passage, and The Art of War\u2014laid the groundwork for today\u2019s initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter more than five years of inactivity due to typhoons and COVID-19, we reintroduced unarmed combat events in December 2023 with \u2018Ring of Fire.\u2019 Now, \u2018Cage of Fire\u2019 continues that legacy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized the significance of the name \u201cCage of Fire,\u201d connecting it to personal and experiences. \u201cThe theme of \u2018fire\u2019 resonates with us, as we live in the Ring of Fire region of the world and our islands were formed by fire and lava. So, from utter fire, chaos, explosions, and destruction came our beautiful islands we now call the Marianas,\u201d Alvarez explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo the whole \u2018fire\u2019 theme just made sense to me, and I ended up embracing the fire and destruction it brought and used it for a positive toward our whole mission moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the criteria for selecting fighters, Alvarez noted, \u201cWe look for everyone and anyone who is interested in competing. Of course, to keep the integrity of our promotional events in check and to keep safety first and foremost, we have all interested combatants fill out our pre-fight screening and fighter questionnaire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cWe make sure that all fighters are physically and mentally\/emotionally stable and fit to compete.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Alvarez reiterated the importance of these events for the local combat sports community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur motto is: \u2018We promote friendship through fighting.\u2019 So, the way our events contribute to the sports community is we compete in the name of goodwill and ambassadorship through all our MMA events.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, fighters from various regions, including the CNMI, the Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Japan, and the Philippines have competed in his events, fostering a vibrant fighting spirit. Spectators can expect an exhilarating atmosphere filled with non-stop action.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe bring the heat every time! Spectators can expect non-stop hard-hitting action from all fighters, beginner or pro,\u201d Alvarez promises, underscoring the commitment to delivering an unforgettable experience for fans.<\/p>\n<p>Looking to the future, he remains optimistic. \u201cWe will continue to host our events as long as people are willing to compete. Our fighting history and competitive spirit ensure a bright future for Trench Tech Purebred Saipan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For those interested in competing, Alvarez offers valuable advice: \u201cEverything starts with a positive mindset. Preparation is key! You must be physically, mentally, and emotionally prepared to compete in the cage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He emphasizes, \u201cI always tell this to my students: \u2018Fatigue makes cowards out of men.\u2019 So, train hard, stay prepared and have a positive mindset, and you will not only do good in the cage but more importantly, you will do good in life in general.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the date approaches, the excitement for \u201cCage of Fire\u201d is palpable.
