Camacho issued yesterday a bench warrant for the arrest of another suspect in a robbery case where the victim, a 65-year-old masseur, was also beaten up.<\/p>\n<p>Camacho issued the bench warrant for Joshua Basaliso after he and his court-appointed counsel failed to appear at yesterday afternoon&#8217;s change of plea hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Camacho imposed a $500 cash bail for Basaliso&#8217;s temporary release once he is arrested.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant attorney general Eileen Wisor, who appeared at the hearing, recommended the bench warrant.<\/p>\n<p>Basaliso pleaded guilty to assault and battery in October 2011 as part of a plea deal. As part of the agreement, the Office of the Attorney General will recommend a sentence of 90 days that he has already served in jail.<\/p>\n<p>Basaliso testified for the government in the trial of his cousin and co-defendant, Nestor C. Taitano. He admitted beating up and taking the wallet of Chinese national Guoxi Liang in San Antonio on April 2, 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Taitano was acquitted and released.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Ferdie de la Torre Reporter Superior Court associate judge Joseph N.
