Altogether it costs us almost $9,800, this may be a pilot for other future bus stops to be erected, cause it’s not only typhoon-proofed but is also cost-efficient… We were initially planning on building a concrete bus stop, but it costs $25,000 to $30,000 to with build concrete. You can also pick it up again and relocate it to another destination,” he said in an interview.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Easy Rider members, Precinct 1 Re. Roy Ada (R-Saipan), Vincent Seman Aldan (Ind-Saipan), Diego Camacho (D-Saipan), Joseph Arriola Flores (Ind-Saipan), Public School System Pupil Transportation director Shawn San Nicolas, and some members of Matua Riders Group and Parekoy Motorcycle Club.

Fr. Rey Rosal initiated the prayer session that included a request for divine protection for the students, commuters, and all those involved in the project and was followed by a sprinkling of holy water.

Meanwhile, Easy Rider president Alex Tudela thanked the attendees and said that he welcomed contributions from the public and government to achieve their goal of putting up more bus stops.

“We welcome any contributions from the public and government that can assist us because that’s our goal is to try to put more shelters for the kids. That is for their safety,” said Tudela.

In his impromptu message, Roy Ada thanked the Easy Rider Motorcycle Club Saipan for the bus shelter.

“Thank you so much for taking the initiative. This is truly a testament of your commitment to the community… and again on behalf of our Precinct 1, thank you very much for this shelter,” he said.

San Nicolas also thanked the group for funding the bus stop through their hard work and members donating time and skills. He added that it’s been a bus stop that they’ve been looking for a long time due to a lot of people requesting to have a bus stop directed in that area, and now it has become a reality.

The ribbon cutting was concluded with a CNMI Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services water salute and a group photo.

The Easy Rider Motorcycle Club Saipan bus stop along San Vicente Road was unveiled and had its ribbon-cutting ceremony last Saturday morning.

-RACQUEL FLOYD

Members of the Easy Rider Motorcycle Club Saipan with members of other motorcycle clubs Matua Riders Group and Parekoy Motorcycle Club pose for a group photo.

-RACQUEL FLOYD

Easy Rider Motorcycle Club Saipan members pose for a group photo.

-RACQUEL FLOYD

Public School System Pupil Transportation director Shawn San Nicolas delivers his thank you message.

-RACQUEL FLOYD

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was concluded with a CNMI Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services water salute.

-The ribbon-cutting ceremony was concluded with a Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services water salute.

[4

post-423172","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news
["GET
