{"id":423291,"date":"2024-11-30T13:36:22","date_gmt":"2024-11-30T13:36:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=423291"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"Verstappen-brought-back-to-earth-in-Doha-after-F1-title-party","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/Verstappen-brought-back-to-earth-in-Doha-after-F1-title-party\/","title":{"rendered":"Verstappen brought back to earth in Doha after F1 title party"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Five days after enjoying a title party in Las Vegas, Max Verstappen was brought back to earth on Friday when he qualified sixth for Saturday&#8217;s sprint race at the Qatar Formula One Grand Prix.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The newly-crowned four-time world champion said he lacked pace in his Red Bull and felt that sixth or seventh was where he deserved to be on current form.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Just no pace,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It was slow and we had no balance to allow me to attack. The car is off in mid-corner. It&#8217;s okay at very high speed, but for the rest it is not okay and I just can&#8217;t push.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Let&#8217;s see if we can improve it a bit for the main qualifying tomorrow, but I don&#8217;t expect much.
