Marianas Health Services hosted a proclamation signing led by Lt. Gov. David M. Apatang, proclaiming the month of November 2024 as National Care at Home Month and National Family Caregiver Month with the theme \u201cLinalala, Respetu, Diknidat\/Freedom, Respect, Dignity.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event was held within MHS\u2019 facility last Wednesday, Oct. 30, starting at 9:30am.<\/p>\n

The proclamation acknowledges the invaluable contributions of caregivers and the importance of home care, honoring the incredible heroes in the local community. A heartfelt thank you to all the dedicated professionals\u2014home care aides, nurses, therapists, and social workers who provide compassionate care and support.<\/p>\n

The event highlights the vital roles that family caregivers provide in supporting their loved ones and improving quality of life at home. Their unwavering commitment allows patients to receive essential services in the comfort of their homes, making a profound difference in their lives.<\/p>\n

Special guests, dignitaries, and MHS staff were in attendance to witness the proclamation signing by Apatang in recognition of National Care at Home and National Family Caregiver Month for the month of November 2024.<\/p>\n

Throughout November, the nation comes together to celebrate and honor the dedicated professionals who play pivotal role in the well-being of countless patients and their families, who make an immeasurable difference in the lives they touch. Their unwavering commitment to providing care and compassion is a cornerstone of our healthcare system, allowing individuals to receive vital services within the comfort of their homes.<\/p>\n

Recognizing their profound impact, Marianas Health Services joins the National Association for Home Care and Hospice to commemorate November as National Care at Home Month and National Family Caregiver Month.<\/p>\n

With an estimated 10,000 Americans reaching 65 years old every day, the demand for healthcare services is continually rising, leading to soaring costs. Home care and hospice emerge as the preferred choice for most patients, offering substantial cost savings while delivering personalized care. Care provided within the home is more affordable than hospital or nursing home care. It also empowers countless seniors to maintain their independence, allowing them to age gracefully in the familiar surroundings of their communities\u2014a goal shared by 90% of Americans.<\/p>\n

George J. Cruz, administrator for Marianas Health Services, said \u201cThis year, NAHC launched a pioneering campaign to elevate the perception of home-based care. MHS held a launch and waving activity\u2014HAFA WAVE\u2014not only to commemorate November as National Care at Home and National Family Caregiver Month but National Diabetes Prevention and Awareness Month last Friday, Nov. 1, long Beach Road across MHS and Oleai Beach Bar & Grill.<\/p>\n
