Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Chalan Kanoa, by joining its annual Health Ministry 5K Walkathon.<\/p>\n

The walk is set for Saturday, Nov. 23, and begins at 6:30am, at the venue at the Garapan Fishing Base across Kristo Rai Parish. The venue opens at 5am.<\/p>\n

The route is from the fishing base to Quartermaster Road and back.<\/p>\n

Health Ministry coordinator Maria Terlaje said the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa\u2019s Health Ministry 5K Walkathon is their annual event dedicated to both the community and the diocese.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt represents a commitment to promoting health and well-being among parishioners and local residents. This event not only encourages a healthy lifestyle but also strengthens our community bond, inviting everyone to come together in faith, health, and fellowship.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said this year, the 5K walkathon holds a special meaning as it aligns with the 40th anniversary celebration of the diocese with the theme, \u201cA Faithful Walk of 40 years as a Diocese.\u201d<\/p>\n

Terlaje, in behalf of the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa, then invites everyone to join the 2024 Health Ministry 5K Walkathon.<\/p>\n

Register online, and avail of a free T-shirt for the first 500 on site. Health agencies like CHCC Public Health and Marianas Health will be present to conduct health screenings like immunization, blood pressure and sugar checks, and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we celebrate our 40th anniversary, this event is more than just a walk; it\u2019s a tribute to \u2018A faithful walk of 40 years.\u2019 We invite everyone to come out and walk with us, as we honor both our journey as a diocese and our commitment to health and unity. Together, let\u2019s take steps towards health and wellness as we continue this faithful walk into the years ahead,\u201d said Terlaje.<\/p>\n

Participants braved the early morning rain to join in the Annual 5K Walkathon organized by the Health Ministry of the Chalan Kanoa diocese in 2019. The walkathon this year celebrates the diocese\u2019 40th anniversary and is set for Saturday, Nov. 23.<\/p>\n
