CBS<\/a> announced in April 2024 that The<\/a> Talk<\/a><\/em> was renewed for a 15th and final season. It was shared at the time that the final episode would air in December. Today (November 26), CBS shared details about the final week of episodes, the series finale, and when it will air.<\/p>\n

The Talk<\/em>\u2018s final season was a shorter one. It began airing new episodes in Fall 2024, with the last episode set to air in December of that year. The Talk<\/em>\u2018s final episode will air on December 20 at 2\/1c on CBS. It will be getting a \u201ccelebratory sendoff\u201d in the final week so the hosts \u2014 Sheryl Underwood<\/a>, Akbar Gbajabiamila<\/a>, Amanda Kloots<\/a>, Natalie Morales<\/a>, and Jerry O\u2019Connell<\/a> \u2014 can bid farewell to fans.<\/p>\n

The Talk<\/em> will air its final week of live shows from Monday, December 16 to Friday, December 20 with the hosts welcoming an array of guests and big holiday giveaways all week long. In December alone, The Talk<\/em> will gift more than $2.5 million in giveaways to the show\u2019s loyal audience, CBS shares. Over the show\u2019s\u00a015-season run, The Talk<\/em> will have aired\u00a02,993\u00a0episodes, garnered over\u00a070\u00a0awards and nominations, promoted over\u00a010,800\u00a0guests, gifted over\u00a0$103\u00a0million in giveaways, and welcomed over 250,000 audience members, the network states.<\/p>\n

Back in April when the final season was announced, CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach and CBS Studios prexy David Stapf released a joint statement about the show\u2019s impending end, reflecting on its 14 years on the air (it first debuted on CBS in October 2010).<\/p>\n

The Talk<\/em> was created by Sara Gilbert, who also hosted the series for the first nine seasons. Gilbert\u2019s fellow original hosts were Julie Chen Moonves<\/a>, Sharon Osbourne<\/a>, Holly Robinson Peete<\/a>, Leah Remini<\/a>, and Marissa Jaret Winokur<\/a>. Aisha Tyler<\/a>, Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba<\/a>, Marie Osmond<\/a>, and Elaine Welteroth<\/a> have also hosted. In 2017, it won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host. Chen Moonves,\u00a0Gilbert,\u00a0Osbourne, Tyler, and\u00a0Underwood were hosts at the time.<\/p>\n

Fans speculated in March 2024 that\u00a0The Talk<\/em> could be at risk of cancellation<\/a> because CBS was adding the first all-new daytime soap opera,\u00a0titled\u00a0The Gates<\/em><\/a>, to its tentative lineup, leaving less room for the daytime talk show on the network. Fans noted that The Talk<\/em> took the time slot previously occupied by the long-running soap\u00a0As the World Turns<\/em><\/a>, which was canceled in December 2009.<\/p>\n
