{"id":426097,"date":"2024-11-27T01:30:58","date_gmt":"2024-11-27T01:30:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=426097"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T14:00:00","slug":"Manga-adaptation-Drops-of-God-nets-International-Emmy-Award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/Manga-adaptation-Drops-of-God-nets-International-Emmy-Award\/","title":{"rendered":"Manga adaptation &#8216;Drops of God&#8217; nets International Emmy Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>French-Japanese mini-series &#8220;Drops of God&#8221; won the International Emmy Award for best drama series on Monday night.<\/p>\n<p>The show, an adaption of a hit Japanese manga of the same name, follows the estranged daughter of a French wine critic as she battles his protege to try and claim her inheritance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The first season of the show streamed on Apple TV+ in 2023, with the forthcoming second season also acquired by the American streaming service.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a series about family, bonds and the search for identity in the world of wine, which is a world of its own,&#8221; the show&#8217;s star Fleur Geffrier told AFP at the awards ceremony in New York.<\/p>\n<p>The International Emmy Awards honor television produced outside the United States.
