Diaz officially assumed the role of marshal of the courts last Nov. 25 in a swearing-in led by Chief Justice Robert J. Torres. The ceremony, attended by Diaz\u2019s family, Judiciary members, and distinguished guests, followed his unanimous appointment by the Judicial Council on Nov. 21, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Diaz brings decades of experience to the Marshal Services Division. A graduate of the University of Guam with a bachelor\u2019s degree in criminal justice, Diaz is a certified pressure tactics instructor, certified taser instructor, and certified active shooter instructor. He has led law enforcement training locally and regionally, focusing on strategies to strengthen court security and enhance public trust in judicial processes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLeo has dedicated more than three decades to safeguarding the courts and upholding their integrity,\u201d said Torres. \u201cUnder his leadership, the Marshal Services Division will continue to provide security and deliver justice for all who depend on our Judiciary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With over 31 years of service at the Judiciary, Diaz has steadily advanced through the ranks of both the Marshal and Probation Services divisions.
