How many did you see?<\/p>\n<p><h2><em>20Q<\/em> (2009)<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>Hosted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/people\/cat-deeley\/\">Cat Deeley<\/a> and based on the handheld electronic game of the same name, <em>20Q<\/em> had contestants battling each other and a computer character (voiced by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/people\/hal-sparks\/\">Hal Sparks<\/a>) in 20 Questions-style challenges for cash prizes. (And yes, this game show <em>was<\/em> bigger than a breadbox.)<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"20Q (July 11, 2009)\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/i39JRHDnlZU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><h2><em>Camouflage<\/em> (2007)<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>This game show had the letters to the puzzle answers consecutively hidden among decoy letters. For example, take the puzzle is \u201cIF THEY\u2019RE BOUNDING AROUND THEIR PARENTS, TIE LEASHES.\u201d Your clue is \u201cTelevision show about hyperactive children?\u201d And the answer is <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/show\/the-young-and-the-restless\/\">The Young and the Restless<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Camouflage Game Show -- Berry\/Shelley\/Chad -- (Lodge)\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ur6YgC8fLdE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><h2><em>Cram<\/em> (2003)<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>How much can you accomplish after 24 hours without sleep? That was the question of this game show, in which contestant duos were sequestered in a Hollywood Boulevard storefront for 24 hours, given study material to cram, and then quizzed on that material while subjected to physical challenges. (Fun!)<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Cram (2003) Michelle\/August vs. Jeff\/Christina\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cC451U1wX-E?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><h2><em>Extreme Dodgeball<\/em> (2004\u20132005)<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>Yes, the schoolyard game of dodgeball did inspire a Game Show Network show, in which themed teams \u2014 groups of mimes, sumo wrestlers, body-builders, and so on \u2014 competed to peg opponents with dodgeballs. And this series had big balls \u2014 as in, dodgeballs twice the diameter of normal ones.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Extreme Dodgeball S2-E1\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uwpdwL5HCoA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><h2><em>Hellevator<\/em> (2015\u20132016)<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>From famed horror film producer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/people\/jason-blum\/\">Jason Blum<\/a> came this 2015 game show in which teams of contestants took a \u201chaunted\u201d elevator to different floors of a spooky warehouse, attempting to survive the frightening challenges on each level. Think \u201chaunted house with an escape-room twist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Hellevator S01EP1 - The Undertaker\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/etALYR9bke8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><h2><em>Hidden Agenda<\/em> (2010)<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>Imagine <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/show\/candid-camera\/\">Candid Camera<\/a><\/em> as a game show, and you have the gist of this one-season production. In <em>Hidden Agenda<\/em>, one half of a couple tried the other half to do outrageous things without letting on that they\u2019re on a game show and hidden cameras are following their every move.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Gameshow Network&#039;s \" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/g5i7gDzBDXw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><h2><em>How Much Is Enough?<\/em> (2008)<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>With <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/people\/corbin-bernsen\/\">Corbin Bernsen<\/a> as host, players secretly buzzed in to stop a \u201cmoney clock\u201d on this show. The greediest player got nothing, so the trick was to buzz in second to last. GSN <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/business\/business-news\/gsn-bernsen-buzz-how-155803\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">called this a \u201cnetwork-defining show,\u201d<\/a> but apparently, one solitary season is how much was enough.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"GSN 1\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MrbLc6xZA0I?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><h2><em>Jep!<\/em> (1998\u20132000)<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>Imagine <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/show\/jeopardy\/\">Jeopardy!<\/a><\/em> with pre-teen contestants, toy prizes, penalty boxes, and plushie deluges, and you have <em>Jep!<\/em>, a kid-centric spinoff of America\u2019s favorite quiz show. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/people\/alex-trebek\/\">Alex Trebek<\/a> wasn\u2019t the host \u2014 that would be Porky Pig voice actor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/people\/bob-bergen\/\">Bob Bergen<\/a> \u2014 but the late <em>Jeopardy!<\/em> emcee did serve as a consultant.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Jep! promo, 1998\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wekSV17ePzo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><h2><em>National Vocabulary Championship<\/em> (2007\u20132008)<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>It didn\u2019t take off like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvinsider.com\/show\/scripps-national-spelling-bee-finals\/\">Scripps National Spelling Bee<\/a> did, but for two consecutive years, GSN and The Princeton Review teamed up to give teens across the country a chance to win $40,000 toward college tuitions with their vast, voluminous, and\u2026 um\u2026 very large vocabularies.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"National Vocabulary Championship 2006 sizzle video\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PlYxbRPiXoQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><h2><em>The Line<\/em> (2014)<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>Hordes of people queued up for this game show, and that was the point. At the front of the line, contestants could win a jackpot by answering eight trivia questions correctly. But while they were waiting, they could play mini-games to better their chances.
