Real Time With Bill Maher<\/a><\/em> is off the air for the holidays, but its host is still airing his thoughts on the 2024 presidential election. In the latest episode of his Club Random<\/em> podcast<\/a>, Bill Maher<\/a> and guest Stephen A. Smith<\/a> discussed why U.S. President-elect Donald Trump<\/a> gained favor with Black voters.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I think Black people think about Trump, like, is he a racist? Yeah, but they think every white person is kind of a racist,\u201d Maher speculated. \u201cAnd do they think that white people behind closed doors talk like Trump? Yeah. He\u2019s just a crazy person. \u2026 He just says it out loud.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat last part right there,\u201d Smith emphasized. \u201cI don\u2019t want to speak for all Black people or whatever \u2026 but I will say this to you. You know, being a Black man, you don\u2019t look at white people and automatically think they\u2019re racist. You automatically know they\u2019re different than you, that they think different than you, that they come from a different cultural background and experience things differently than they do.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ESPN Radio host continued: \u201cSo that second part is very, very important because when you talk about how Trump talks, we\u2019re going like this: \u2018So that\u2019s the first time he talked like that, when he became president? Who the f*** you think you playing with?\u2019 We know better than that. We know better than that. We know that ain\u2019t the first time, and we know that the people that he was friends with all of these years \u2014 he talked just like that around y\u2019all, and y\u2019all didn\u2019t have no problem with it don\u2019t act like you have a problem now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maher also said that Trump\u2019s motivation isn\u2019t \u201cI don\u2019t like Black people\u201d but instead \u201cEverybody must love me.\u201d<\/p>\n
