Eloy S. Inos has reappointed two members and appointed one new member to the Health Care Professions Licensing Board.<\/p>\n<p>In a letter to Senate President Ralph Torres (R-Saipan), Inos said he would be reappointing both Dr. Allan S. Markoff and Ted Parker to the board and appointing Dr. Tiffany Lynn Willis to the same board.<\/p>\n<p>The appointments require the consent of the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>Inos said that he was confident with his appointees and that he expects a \u201cfavorable action\u201d from the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>Inos told the appointees that he appointed them because they are qualified and have devoted their time and efforts to represent the interest of the CNMI.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs an appointee of the governor, you are immediately required to file a statement of financial interest with the [Office of the] Public Auditor,\u201d Inos told the appointees.<\/p>\n<p>Willis will replace Dr. Ahmad Al-alou on the board. Al-alou, who had been serving on the board for eight years now, will soon end his latest term.<\/p>\n<p>Public Law 15-505 states that Health Care Professions Licensing Board members are allowed to serve for four years and may serve for another four years if reappointed. <\/p>\n<p>The HCPL board is composed of five members appointed by the governor. <\/p>\n<p>If confirmed, Markoff, Parker, and Willis will serve four-year terms that will expire on Aug. 28, 2018. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gov.
