Ada was recently chosen as executive director of the Commonwealth Development Authority.<\/p>\n<p>CDA Board Chairman Juan S. Tenorio said Ada will serve NMHC and CDA in concurrent capacity.<\/p>\n<p>Tenorio believes Ada&#8217;s track record in public service will carry her through the dual functions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She&#8217;s matured enough to handle both jobs. She has proven herself. And she&#8217;s very much qualified to run both houses,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>A lawyer, Ada has been in the government service for 17 years.<\/p>\n<p>She began as socio-economic planner at the Planning and Budget Office in 1980. From 1982 to 1985, she was a loan assistant and economic adviser for the Economic Development Loan Fund.<\/p>\n<p>Ada was retained as CDA loan officer after the EDLF was dissolved and its functions transfered to CDA.<\/p>\n<p>In 1993, Ada was promoted as manager for CDA&#8217;s loan and accounting division. In that same year, she was named manager for the development banking division of CDA.<\/p>\n<p>Ada was appointed as corporate director for NMHC in March of 1995.<\/p>\n<p>During her administration, the NMHC has expanded its housing and community development programs.<\/p>\n<p>Ada holds a degree in political science from Oregon State University.
