An armed robbery occurred early yesterday morning in Susupe where approximately $7,000 was taken by four unidentified men.<\/p>\n
The Department of Public Safety received the call at around 6:12 a.m. from De Shan Shen, 38, a cashier at Lucky 7 Poker.<\/p>\n
According to Shen, the men entered the establishment around 5:15 a.m. yesterday. One of them went to the counter and asked him if he could use the phone.<\/p>\n
A few seconds later, one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and pointed it to Shen demanding that he opens the door to the counter.<\/p>\n
The suspects tied his arms and feet and taped his eyes and mouth. When Shen finally freed himself, he went to Winchell’s and called the police.<\/p>\n
As a result of the incident, Shen sustained bruises in both his wrists and ankles.<\/p>\n
According to Rose T. Ada, public information officer, Shen can’t describe the suspects because “it was too dark.”<\/p>\n
DPS is asking anyone who might have witnessed the incident to call their office for information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, another robbery case occurred past midnight last Monday in front of Ebisuya bakery shop in Susupe.<\/p>\n
The victims, 72-year-old Teruko Egoshi and 71-year-old Hissao Egoshi, were heading to Saipan Grand Hotel after shopping at Joeten when a man came from their behind, pushed Teruko to the ground and grabbed her pouch.<\/p>\n
Witnesses were able to take the license plate of the Pathfinder where the man boarded after the incident.<\/p>\n
Ada said they already have a suspect but since the victims are tourists, investigators are consulting with the Attorney General’s Office for the best way to handle the case.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
