{"id":45120,"date":"1999-01-12T00:00:00","date_gmt":"1999-01-12T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/9422ae78-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"1999-01-12T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"1999-01-12T00:00:00","slug":"9422ae8c-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/9422ae8c-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Teaching students take apprenticeships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Andrew Borja stepped into the classroom yesterday and ceased being a teaching student \u2014 he got a taste of what&#8217;s it like to be the professional he wants to be.<\/p>\n<p>On the first day of his teaching assistantship, a requirement to become a teacher, Borja helped sixth-graders at San Vicente Elementary School with using a computer and reviewed their assignments.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s really fun and interesting. It brings back a lot of memories,&#8221; Borja said.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, 40 other students under the Teacher Academy Program of the Marianas High School perform similar tasks.<\/p>\n<p>They were required to undergo that sort of apprenticeship for three weeks.
