The Public School System will kick off this year’s Academic Challenge Tournament with contestants from junior and high school levels going up against each other on Saturday.<\/p>\n
It will be held at Hopwood Junior High School’s Cafeteria, while succeeding competitions will be held at Conference Room of the Joeten Kiyu Library.<\/p>\n
The PSS has been hosting the Academic Challenge each year since 1988. This academic race is set for students in junior high school and senior high school levels.<\/p>\n
It covers Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arts, Music, Humanities, Computer, NMI History, Government and Current Events.<\/p>\n
This year’s national competition will be held on June 12 to 15 at the Disney World Convention in Florida.<\/p>\n
Soccer Fiesta<\/p>\n
The CNMI Youth Soccer Organization will host the Soccer Fiesta ’99 this coming Saturday.<\/p>\n
This event is expected to gather girls and boys, ages 8 to 13 at Hopwood Junior High School starting 10 in the morning.<\/p>\n
