{"id":45625,"date":"1999-02-23T00:00:00","date_gmt":"1999-02-23T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/945de3bd-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e"},"modified":"1999-02-23T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"1999-02-23T00:00:00","slug":"945de3d1-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/945de3d1-1dfb-11e4-aedf-250bc8c9958e\/","title":{"rendered":"Worker dies in fall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Filipino died from fractured skull after he fell from a roof while doing carpentry work at Chalan Kanoa area last Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Based on police reports, a two by four piece of wood gave way while the victim was working on the roof of the house being renovated.<\/p>\n<p>He was rushed to the Commonwealth Health Center where he was pronounced dead past 12 high noon.<\/p>\n<p>DPS spokesperson Rose Ada said the victim was an employee of Antonio Benavente whose name was withheld until his immediate families are informed.<\/p>\n<p>Sources from the Philippine Consulate identified the victim as a certain Rafael Sandaga, 50 years old from Baguio City.  He reportedly arrived on Saipan in the early 80&#8217;s and had no records at the Consulate after the Philippine government established the office in 1989.
