Last month the Northern Marianas College Business Development Center held its 2nd Annual Business Expo and Training Seminars which drew over 150 participants from Saipan, Tinian and Rota.<\/p>\n
Beginning July 20th, the NMC-BDC will hold seminars focusing on boosting business profits during tough economic times and how to start a business.<\/p>\n
The program envisions to acquaint entrepreneurs with the challenges and opportunities of managerial pricing and marketing. Chris Holst, NMC-BDC graduate intern, will address these two topics.<\/p>\n
According to Holst, “pricing your product service is extremely important because profit margins are slim and competition is fierce in a weak economy.” He said “business must continue to market aggressively by adding value to existing products without increasing costs.”<\/p>\n
Another topic that will be discussed is starting your own business, which holding last month has attracted a big crowd.<\/p>\n
