Filipino found dead<\/p>\n
The body of a 36-year old Filipino seaman, who was reported missing Tuesday night, was fished out of the water early yesterday morning, according to Rose Ada, public information officer of the Department of Public Safety.<\/p>\n
Delfin Linadja, an employee of Marianas Tug and Barges was discovered missing at about 10:00 PM Tuesday. Police immediately carried out a search for Linadja, but was forced to stop because there was not enough lights to help them.<\/p>\n
Linadja was last seen helping his co-worker at the dock.<\/p>\n
Road closed for
\nsewerline construction<\/p>\n
The Department of Public Safety yesterday said that the northbound lane from Quartermaster will be closed to motorists due to the construction of a sewerline in that area.
\nTo prevent any delays, DPS is advising motorists who are heading north to take either the Middle Road or the backroad. Likewise, heavy equipment drivers are asked to take the back road to ease traffic congestion in the Middle Road.<\/p>\n
40 complete summer
\nyouth arts course<\/p>\n
Some 40 participants in the Second Annual Summer Youth Arts Program received their certificates of attendance last night for completing the one-month course.<\/p>\n
Robert Hunter, executive director of the Commonwealth Arts Council, said the program included training in print making, papier mache, sculpture, traditional Chamorro dance and different kinds of crafts.<\/p>\n
An exhibit of the participants’ works will run through Aug. 6, 1999 at the Council’s art gallery in Capitol Hill.<\/p>\n
During the arts workshop, the students were assisted by Dolores Marciano for traditional dance, Wesley Foster for print making, Lynette Manibusan for crafts and Matsue Taro for papier mache.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
