The House Standing Committee on Public Utilities, Transportation and Communications is soliciting comments from the public on the following house bills:<\/p>\n
\u2022 House Bill No. 11-122, To establish within the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation (CUC) a regulatory division; to authorize the CUC the power to regulate private providers of cable television and telecommunications services; and for other purposes; and<\/p>\n
\u2022 House Bill No. 11-457, To authorize the Department of Finance to establish a surcharge fee on local exchange telephone service and mobile radio service to fund a CNMI-wide 9ll Emergency System; and for other purposes.<\/p>\n
